Wedding: Dimitri and Erica
There have been some monumental weddings over the last five decades in soap operas. Luke and Laura, Cliff and Nina, Clint and Vicki, Cord and Tina, Bo and Nora, and that is just ABC soaps - the list goes on and on! Of all of them, I chose the wedding of Erica Kane and Dimitri Marick as my favorite. The romance and ultimate fairy tale wedding was sophisticated, magical!, and a delight to watch!
Very hard Hmmmmm I have to do two Luke with Laura and Clint with Vicki.So beautiful both of them.So romantic.Crying that is why it is so important to save soaps.It gives us that magical romantic dreams we all need!

ReplyDeleteBo and Nora's weddings--both of them--were especially fun and memorable, so I'd have to say they had the best wedding(s), but there are so many other great ones too! And the wedding of Viki and Ben Davidson on OLTL also sticks out in my mind, although not because it was a fairy-tale wedding. I'll never forget Asa shooting Ben on his wedding day, not knowing Ben was his son, and Ben being saved by the coin Renee had given him earlier that day. It certainly wasn't the "best" wedding in terms of it going smoothly, but it is another one that stands out in my mind!

DeleteI also l liked the near marriage of Max and Tina when she said Cord's name instead of Maxx. I also liked the near wedding of Ginny and Clint in the wild west storyline when Viki walks in.
I forgot about Viki and Ben. There have been so many wonderful weddings it is hard to remember them all.
Erica and Dimitri ,, Trevor and Natalie ,, Bo and Nora had great weddings ... they all had a nice wedding in the past 40 years each one was different and special in their own ways ...
ReplyDeleteSince One Life To Live has and will always be my favorite soap opera, I'd have to say Blair and Todd's wedding. The golden balloons were magical and Todd finally showed some softness in his love for Blair.
ReplyDeleteLuke and Laura I stayed home from school to watch. It was so beautiful. It was outdoors in the fall. Scotty catching the bouquet was too much ..lol
ReplyDeleteMy favorite AMC wedding was Cliff and Nina's because it truly seemed like a fairy tale wedding. On OLTL it was Alex and Asa's Egyptian/Western wedding because it was just a lot of fun to watch and for GH I absolutely loved Lucy walking down the aisle in her Red Bridal dress.

ReplyDeleteOf course Luke and Laura because my mom, aunts and grandmother watched the wedding. I have to say that one that I actually enjoyed was Todd and Tea's wedding in 1998. I loved Tea's wedding dress. I found it so funny that they drank champagne before they said their I do's.

OLTL's weddings... bo and SAra and Bo and Nora!
Luke and Laura, also Todd and Tea's real marriage in 1998. Todd and Tea's 1998 nuptials are probably the most unique in soap history, from Todd emerging from a coffin declaring it as "the resurrection of Todd Manning" day, to Tea and he running out of the ceremony to argue, only to come back and finally say heartfelt I do's, eat cake and waltz.

ReplyDeleteFor me of course I really thought Lily and Holden's "As The World Turns" wedding in early 1998 was a great wedding. Two people that really loved each other. Oh, yes, but there was drama Molly had to try to stop the wedding, but that happens in soap weddings where would we be without the distractions in Soap weddings.
